PHOTOS: Gaston’s Tavern – New Fantasyland

Get swept away into the Enchanted Forest section of the New Fantasyland in Walt Disney World into Gaston’s Tavern. Like a manly lodge with faux animal heads on the walls and bows and arrows strung about.

My favorite piece is the giant portrait of Gaston over the fire place. That fireplace has an awesome animation and if you listen closely you can hear the fire flickering.

This quick-service restaurant serves up cinnamon rolls, chocolate croissants, pork shanks, hummus and chips, fruit cups, mixed veggies with dip and the pièce de résistance Le Fou’s Brew.

Le Fou’s Brew is a no-sugar added frozen apple juice with a touch of toasted marshmallow topped with all-natural passion fruit-mango foam. I could drink fifty of them. It is so refreshing and I love the fruit flavor. I need to find a way to recreate these little beauties at home. They come in a regular cup for 4.49 or for 9.99 you can get a souvenir stein with Gaston on one side and the Beast on the other or a goblet with Belle.

The cinnamon roll is a gooey delight. Lots of frosting and maple glaze drizzled over the top. I like how it is a little different than the usual cinnamon roll with the maple glaze and they serve them all day long.

Outside of the tavern stands a statue of Gaston holding up two kegs of his coveted brew in a fountain. The plaque in front just cracks me up, typical Gaston. This place is a hit and a great getaway from the heat. You really feel like you are somewhere tucked away in the French countryside of the movie” Beauty and the Beast”.

Will you be trying Le Fou’s Brew on your next vacation to Disney World or perhaps the pork shank?
