Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival is the perfect time to experience Epcot. So many beautiful blooms and Spring is in full swing. Beyond the topiaries and outdoor kitchens is even more, tours! One of the fun things you can do at the U.K. Pavilion in World Showcase is to immerse yourself into an elegant tea garden with the Royal Tea Garden Tour. I did this past weekend and it was so nice to listen to our hostesses Sophie and Abigail give us a 45 minute Royal Tea Garden Tour exploring the garden in-depth, learning the artistry and history behind growing and blending Twinings tea.
Look at all of this lush landscape with big tea cup pots showing off the different tea blends. It’s so peaceful strolling the garden in the morning and the best part, the storytelling. Listening to all the stories about the Royal family and how Queen Victoria endorsed Twinings Tea as the official tea of the Royal family centuries ago.
One of my favorite things Sophie our tour hostess said, “In my family we put the tea kettle on and it made everything from the day better.”
When we finished our tour we were invited into The Tea Caddy for tea and scones. The Earl Grey infused butter and the clotted cream with berries are the perfect sweet and savory accompaniments to our flakey scones.
There are three tiers to Tea Garden Tours.
One is self-guided that you may tour the garden on your own. Second, is guided complimentary tour that runs for 20 minutes and you will need to sign-up for it. Third, is this Royal Tea Garden tour that is a small fee of $15.00 and advanced reservations are recommended. Park entry is not included. For reservations, visit Guest Relations or call (407) WDW-TOUR.
