Dining at Aulani

A bird’s eye view of the Aulani model highlights resort plans. Each 15-story room tower sits opposite of Waikolohe, a wet and mystical 9000-foot waterway that moves guests on inner tubes through a lush landscape. Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa, Ko Olina, Hawai’i. The resort is scheduled to open August 29, 2011. Here are some of the dining choices you will have when visiting the wonderful Aulani resort. For table service you will have three choices: AMA AMA Beach Restaurant: Named after the `ama`ama — the local mullet fish this Aulani signature restaurant celebrates not only the fish, but also the fishing settlements along the leeward coast dating back to the 12th century. This beachside restaurant has their chefs use fresh local ingredients and island flavors to create unique dishes. At `AMA`AMA, you’ll love the authentic cuisine that connects you to true Hawai`i at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Be sure to try a classic cocktail with a new twist. The menu includes vegetarian options and all desserts are in house made daily. Makahiki: Makahiki is named for the annual Hawaiian harvest festival recently revived on O`ahu to celebrate the season of bounty. This low key dinner buffet features dishes with exotic world flavors. Makahiki is a feast for the senses. It has amazing views of tropical foliage with jewel-toned murals created by local artists. The interior light gradually turns from rose to indigo with the setting of the sun. Dinner Buffet * Line-caught sustainable seafood * A rotating carving station * Asian-inspired entrees * Pasta with Portuguese sausage * Crisp salads made with local greens * Fresh island fruits * House-made desserts * Beverages with a Hawaiian spirit Character Breakfast Join Disney friends each morning for a “Breakfast with Character,” which includes favorites such as island fruits, house-baked pastries and daily specialties with your favorite Disney Characters! The `Olelo Room: This unique interactive lounge at Aulani surrounds you with local words and images. The `Olelo Room is open daily and serves continental breakfast, traditional afternoon tea and a lounge menu inspiring local flavors. The cocktail service includes beverages with a Hawaiian spirit, such as: * Tropical cocktails * Classic cocktails with a twist * Mojitos and margaritas * Fruit-infused sangria * Flights of Hawaiian beer or new-world wines * Freshly made tropical lemonades and ice teas Be sure to ask for the `IKE MUA, the discovery drink of the day. The bartenders are ready to help out to learn proper pronunciation and usage of the language. Such as the pronunciation of humuhumunukunuku apua`a. That’s mouthful! For quick service there will be 4 choices: One Paddle, Two Paddle: Located next to `AMA`AMA, this quick-service restaurant serves sandwiches wraps  and house-made desserts. It has a refillable mug station. A keiki (children’s) menu is available. Lava Shack: Serves up traditional Hawaiian cold plate lunch or snack and entrees like Cold Fried Chicken, Cured Meats and Cheese, and Chilled Miso-glazed Salmon, as well as grab-and-go snacks. They also have s a refillable mug station. Hawaiian Shave Ice: Fruity and refreshing shave ice poolside. Yogurt Bar: Tangy yogurt with fresh fruit and tasty toppings in the spa. Also there is Room Service from 6:00 a.m. to midnight every day, you can call room service for a private meal  to enjoy in your hotel room.
